Hey all. Sorry I haven't updated anything that's been going on lately. Well, here's some pictures to illustrate what's happened in the last few months:

This is the "jomandas" party that Joanna, Amanda and I had before school started. :D it was awesome :P

Then my friend Doug invited me and my roommate to go rockclimbing in Rock Canyon. It was awesome even if we were sore for the next day.

Halloween rolled around, and I finally decided on what to be...a cat! Thanks again, Kristen, for taking me shopping! My roommate Megan is the pirate.

Then! There was a great rainstorm the day after Halloween, so Megan and I decided to go dancing in the rain :D

Anywho, so things are going good in school. Overall, I'm enjoying my history class(es) and I actually started making connections with people and places and time on my last test which is very exciting. It's funny 'cause every professor in this field likes to go on about how much they love it and how much we'll love it, but then they'll spend forever letting us know that we'll never get a job and most likely lose our testimony but! you'll love it :) lol Hebrew is actually coming along pretty well. We've already translated the creation story and just finished up with Cain and Abel from the Bible. I'm excited 'cause one of my professors is going to this SBL conference in the East this next week, and she said that she'd pick me up a Biblia Hebraica (Hebrew Bible) and a Greek New Testament 'cause SBL sells books for 50-70% off. It's way awesome learning the ancient languages and getting an entirely new view of the scripture; then learning about the history and culture and understanding even more about the scriptures. Right now I have an emphasis in Hebrew, but I'm thinking I might change it to Greek next year 'cause I find it more interesting. But I'm still going to continue with the Hebrew.
Dance this semester has been so much fun! I'm in Dance 280 which is a intermediate social ballroom class and Dance 184 which is beginning international ballroom (focuses on technique). We've gone through the cha-cha, triple swing, west coast swing, waltz, quickstep, and now in my 280 class we've started on the viennese waltz (oh my goodness, it's amazing). This last weekend I competed in the Dancesport competition that BYU holds twice a year. My 184 partner and I made it to quarter-finals with the quickstep, and then 280 unsuprisingly made it only to the 2nd round with the triple swing :P But it was so much fun! Saturday night was really cool 'cause they brought in a couple professions to perform. They were amazing. After Thanksgiving, I'm going to do my Medal Exams. Basically, I'll dance whatever dances I've learned with my teachers in front of judges (who are professionals that the school brings in) and they rate me and give me critiques on how to get better. The point of it is basically 1) these are nation wide awards. if i pass the bronze level, then nationally i can dance that level where ever I go and it lets other places know how far you've learned. and 2) it counts for both of my dance finals :) I'm excited to dance with my teachers though. It's nice to dance with someone who knows what they're doing lol
Thanks to Jon, I'm all signed up for classes next semester and it's going to be awesome! I'll have the 2nd half of beginning Biblical Hebrew, History of the Ancient Near East from 330BC-640AD, Orchestra, Dance (i'm hoping to be able to show up and add one since they're all full now), beginning guitar (James is so nice! He's going to let me borrow his accoustic guitar for the class), and I was able to finding a beginning drawing/painting art class where you don't have to actually be an art major to get in, and finally mission prep. (still not saying that I'm going, but just in case :P)
Anyways, I'm going to try to keep on this for you guys. Love and miss you all!
Happy Birthday to Jon tomorrow! :) ya' oldie :P
