Anywho, so I'm back again in Provo, but this time I'm seeing how I like the summer semester. School's good. It's keeping me busy. Even though I'll never admit this again, I'm actually not minding my English 150 class. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed writing. Writing as in being creative, not annoying research papers. And then latin dancing has been awesome! I love the whole feel of the movement in latin dancing. My Doctrine and Covenants class is really interesting. The teacher is more concerned about us getting personal insights out of his class rather than memorizing mundane information. And then I have yet to start my online HEPE class, but that should be a cinch.
I miss being home and with my family, but it's nice to be back here with my friends and to be making new friends everyday. Work is a blast! We all have way too much fun there. I love it when customers come in and tell me that, other than the inexpensive food, they come to Taco Bell because we are always so happy. Comments like that totally make my day. The other day I even had an 80ish year old man hit on me :) He informed me that if I called him than I'd have to hang up the phone if his wife answered the phone. It was pretty hilarious. Working there in the summer is a lot different than the rest of the year, and it's provided me with a lot of opportunities to talk to non-members that come in and share some information with them. Last week this man came in when I was having fun with a friend at another store. After he stopped laughing he looked right at me and was like, "you're mormon, aren't you?" after i told him yes, he just commented on how mormons do weird things to keep themselves entertained. :) then he told me a little about where he came from, a life full of strip clubs and a hit man where drinking was just a part of life. Then he looked at me and was like, "it feels different here." then he walked off with his food. It was an interesting experience. So, other than the annoying little EFY kids clogging up the hallways, I am really enjoying being back on campus.
I have always been one to find something I like, and stick with that. I'll go to a restaurant and once I find something that's delicious, I'll order that every time I go there. I've realized that I do that with people too. I get used to being around a person and tend to pick that person over others. Coming back to school where most of my friends are still at home or off on study abroads, or else the friends I do have are crazy busy with work and school, it's been a slow struggle to push myself to enjoy the people that around me. I am very grateful that I did. I can already see some great friendships forming and I've been able to have a blast with people that I still don't know the names of.
Anywho, so I'm at a pretty happy place right now. Fall semester will bring more stressful situations and I'd rather not think about all the big decisions I'm going to be making in the next year. But life has good, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for me.

Um. I like you and am glad you're in a happy place. It's weird being at DownEast without you. Hopefully I'll see you sometime relatively soon...
