Cupcakes and Sneaky Engagements!

So...after FHE, Dave and I went to the store to pick up groceries for me and he was going to help me make cupcakes for my presentation tomorrow. Well on the way back, we saw our friend Chad drawing all over the sidewalk with chalk, and we saw a HUGE "I love you" on the sidewalk. So after we brought my groceries in, we went and talked to Chad and found out he was proposing to one of my favorite people, Emily!! We were so excited! (not to mention, that when he was explaining how he was doing it (which was so cute!) that Dave put his arm around me and just sorta' brought me in closer...so cute! :D) So we were chosen as the lucky people to document it all.

With cameras in hand, we jumped on top of the Brittany roof and situated ourselves just above where the "proposal spot" would be. Then we waited on that very uncomfortable and cold roof....as Emily followed the chalk arrows around the block and back to the Brittany. As soon as she got to the "I love you" then some other guys played some romantic music. And then she arrived to some footprints drawn in the parking lot where "wait" was also drawn. As she waited all cute and giggly, Chad came out from his hiding spot and started asking her; and then came rose pedals floating down from where a couple more guys were dropping them from the roof right onto them. It was so cute! He got down on one knee...asked her and she said YES!! It was so sweet :) She even cried and they hugged/kissed tons. I'm so happy for her! They are so perfect for each other. I felt really lucky to be apart of it.

Then Dave and I came back and I had a blast making cupcakes with him. He shared tons of interesting little tidbits about cooking and it was so nice to talk to him for so long. I love getting to know him. I was even able to teach him how to pipe frosting. haha it was very interesting. Anywho...I'm happy :) and he's great. :)
