Back in 2006, the song "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter came out...but in Twin Falls, Idaho, it only started being played on the radio the summer of 2008. (give us a break...we're a bunch of hicks, it takes us awhile :P). But I absolutely loved that song, and it was a perfect song for that summer. Every day, after working both jobs, not getting home until 11pm -midnight from the second job...this song would come on and each time, it was exactly what I needed to hear. Not saying that it was a bad summer, I had a blast at both jobs and with friends and family. But everyone has those days. And I found myself going on a lot of country drives, listening to this song.

Well...2 years later, and the song still works. It's still a reminder to look at the good things that are going on. If you ever need a pick-me-up someday, here it is.

  1. That was a sweet music video. I love that song. Though, I remember listening to it much sooner than 2008 (especially considering I was on my mission starting January 2008 ;D) You're great Amanda! Have a GREAT day! That's the Bright-side of life! :D

Oh, that summer was pretty horrible, overall. But we had some GREAT moments, you and I. :)
